Jimmy Lipunga plays the uncle who bailed his nephew out from where he was kept in custody on charges of theft.  He plays a major role in bringing Shuwali back on the right path of being a responsible husband and a faithful steward of the money he earns. 

New Movie addressing financial Stewardship in an African context.

 African Horizons produced a new movie in Chichewa by the title of "Chibwana Chimalanda."  This a Chichewa saying, meaning "Foolishness Robs."  The movie masterly paints a picture of the financial challenges many young families are facing in Malawi today.   The challenges of extended family, loan sharks, in laws and coping with peer pressure are setting the scene for a need for financial breakthrough.

As the story progresses it takes us from the hot lower shire valley, all the way to the cool waters of Lake Malawi and Likoma Island where a rich Christian heritage confronts Shuwali’s selfish ambitions.  Jimmy Lipunga acting as Shuwali’s uncle has to bail him out after he is arrested by the police for theft.  As a successful business man Lipunga gives his nephew advice that you will not commonly find in business circles today. Equipped with a financial plan, Shuwali returns to his home with the challenge to win back the trust of his boss, his wife and his 6 year old son.
